Company profile
Our story began in 1981 in Karcag with the foundation of ÉPKAR’s predecessor. As the economic environment evolved, we continued our operations as a joint-stock company from 1993 onward, guided by long-term thinking and consistent family-led responsibility.
Our core business is construction contracting: we deliver across most areas of building and civil works, including projects in heritage environments. This is complemented by a dedicated maintenance mindset and experience in design- and facility-related tasks—allowing us to provide end-to-end, well-controlled solutions.
As a general contractor, we believe in predictable cooperation. Many of our subcontractor relationships go back years—often decades—built on transparent settlement, reliable payments, accurate delivery and the conditions required for continuous work.
One of our strongest assets is our in-house workforce, with many colleagues working with us for 5–10–15–20–30 years. For special requirements we can react fast through our metalwork facility in Karcag, while a significant part of our engineering and project leadership has grown internally—learning the craft from practice and responsibility.
We invest in employee wellbeing and professional development: we regularly modernize our vehicle fleet, established accommodation for on-site teams, and actively support housing solutions for our engineers. To ensure resilience through diversification, we expanded into electrical installation, HVAC technologies and aluminium windows, and in 2022—within the domestic bond programme—acquired the R70 Office Complex. In connection with the issuance, the BB/stable rating granted by Scope Ratings has been maintained through subsequent reviews.
